My Hometown Mural of:
"Graphic Canton" 2017
24" x 24" Acrylic
I was born, raised, held a career, and now raising a family in Stark County, Ohio. While some may see "middle America" and the "middle of Ohio" as boring, Stark County, Ohio has been a big part of who I became. My painting "Graphic Canton" was my thank you to the community and the people who have helped me become the man and artists I am today.

I have applied acrylic paint with a very fluid motion. I have used stencils and found objects as stencils to replicate the signs I might see around the streets of my town. The "@" symbol is used throughout the background to symbolize not only 21st century communication, but where the viewer is "at" in my painting. Iconic buildings from Canton include The Pro-Football Hall of Fame, St. John's Church, Palace Theater, Fred Benson Stadium, and the Onesto Hotel. Each of these represents some strong part of the history of the big city in Stark County, Canton.

In 2018, the Canton Museum of Art selected this work from a national competition of artists to be installed as a 20' mural on the side of the museum exterior wall. On August 26, 2018 the work was unveiled at their yearly fundraiser.
