Chris Triner has been a professional artist and teacher for nearly thirty-five years in Stark County, Ohio.  In 2006 the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation awarded Chris the Master Teacher Award, and he was Stark County's inaugural Art Educator of the Year in 2020. In 2025 his the Ashland University Alumni Association awarded Chris the Dr. Glen Clayton Education Award for his extensive contributions to his field. 

Chris currently teaches at Hoover High School, and as an adjunct instructor at Malone University.  His work can be seen in private collections throughout the United States and Europe, while apart of the permanent collection at the North Canton Public Library, and as a 20' mural celebrating the vibrancy of Canton, Ohio on the exterior of the Canton Museum of Art, his work is often recognized for its strong use of color and composition.
